This is the world’s cheapest tablet computer costs around Rs. 1750 only. The HRD minister Sri.Kapil Sibal released the tablet at New Delhi.
The project started in 2009 with an
aim to overcome the digital illiteracy among the youths. The research for the
project was done jointly by the National Mission on Education through
Information and Communication Technology and IIT
Jabalpur.Britain based Datawind India agreed to supply the tablets.
