Look at the road. Lot of vehicles moving in different pace. Each and every vehicle is driven by a driver. But only some of them are driving smoothly and not disturbing others. All of them are drivers. How many of them are good, decent drivers?
A good Driver must know the basics and working of a vehicle. Always remember that ultimately the vehicle is a mechanical device, there are chances of failure in each part. Most drivers forgetting this truth while driving.
1. Before starting the vehicle you must inspect the vehicle carefully and check
the things like water level, oil level, battery, indicator, head lamps, brake and tyre
pressure etc.
2. Plan the Journey well in advance and allot enough time for driving.
3. Always keep the driving license and other records of vehicle with you.
4. Wear seat belt.
5. Be generous to pedestrians and obey traffic rules.
6. Always overtake through the correct side.
7. Do not drive the vehicle by placing leg on clutch, break pedals.
8. Use the correct gear ratio while driving.
9. Keep safe distance from other vehicle.
10. Do not drive in over speed or very low speed.
11. Do not compete with other vehicles.
12. Drive carefully when the road is wet.
13. Use indicator signals wherever necessary.
14. Avoid sudden breaking as far as possible.
15. Control the speed by reducing gear ratio and accelerator.
16. During night driving when you feel tired, park the vehicle side and take rest.
17. While driving, your and other passenger’s life is with you. Any lapses from your
end will loss the life of all.
