SIRI- The Intelligent Talking Technology

    SIRI- is an intelligent software application working as a personal assistant that helps you to get things done just by asking. This service is provided by Apple in their iPhone- 4S.

    You can ask SIRI through your voice for schedule meetings, make phone calls, search the web and much more. SIRI is not like the traditional voice recognition software which need keywords and specific commands but it is some what related to artificial intelligence. SIRI understands natural speech and ask questions if it need any more information’s to complete the task.

    SIRI uses the processing power of Dual core A5 chip and by using the 3G and Wi-Fi network communicate with Apples data centre. Then it can quickly understand and respond.

   To give an instruction to SIRI hold down the Home button of iPhone- 4S. You can here two beeps and see “ what can I help you with?” on the screen. You just begin speaking, the microphone icon lights up to let you know SIRI hears your talking.

    The other way is when the phone is on, simply bring the phone to your ear. You will hear two beeps indicating SIRI is listening you. SIRI also works with headphone and Blue tooth headsets.

     Now the SIRI service available in English, French and in German. Since every language has its own accents, the accuracy rate is higher for native speakers. The company is planning to support additional languages like Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Italian and Spanish.

    The main interesting thing is the future development of this service. All the use of mobiles, computers can be control with this. Another thing is if it can effectively use in artificial intelligence a robot can act and behave like a human being, is itn’t?
